The Environmental Protection Agency met with Lockport-area residents to answer questions about the ongoing cleanup of the Eighteen Mile Creek Remedial Project. This site has been under investigation for nearly a decade.The EPA is leading the project and addressing lead-contaminated soil at residential properties along the creek.Law enforcement received a call around 8:28pm on July 24th after reports of an assault on Zimmerman Street in North Tonawanda.
The 911 caller told police that two males were arguing over a property line when the confrontation became physical. The men were swinging at one another and wrestling. Law enforcement received a call around 11:12am on July 24th after reports of a disturbance on the 800 block of Walnut Avenue in Niagara Falls.
The 911 caller told police that he was driving by the area and saw a group of men fighting and “swinging hammers at one another.”
Police responded to the scene. However, the group had dispersed by the time law enforcement arrived.
