While chasing the kids, the suspect was screaming that he would hurt them.Law enforcement received a call around 9:27pm on August 7th after reports of a domestic dispute in progress with injuries on Pierce Avenue in Niagara Falls. The 911 caller and daughter of the victim told police that her father was beating her mother who was repeatedly screaming and sustained injuries. She was currently locked in the bathroom with her baby and another young child as she was worried they would be harmed.

With its new Niagara County fulfillment center at 8995 Lockport Road almost ready to open, Amazon is requesting an additional $3 million in sales tax incentives from the Niagara County Industrial Development Agency. Federal and state officials hosted another drop-in session Monday as properties across multiple counties continue to be screened for radioactive material. It was held at the Town of Niagara’s Community Center in Veterans Memorial Community Park. The McKiernan family, who found suspected industrial waste at their 99th Street property in Niagara Falls, said home caregivers for one of their three children will not come to their home until environmental authorities deem their property safe. If you're going to a Buffalo Bills game, or any other event at the new Highmark Stadium, you'll pay an extra 6% on your purchase. That's part of the deal with the Buffalo Bills and Erie County, included in the 30-year lease, for capital improvements and repairs. The tax is called the "Erie County Surcharge.

A 50-year-old man died after a crash on Niagara Falls Boulevard Thursday night.Officials responded to the 8100 block of Niagara Falls Blvd. around 9:30 p.m. after an 18-year-old driver struck the man in the roadway while traveling westbound in her Jeep. He was transported to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for his injuries and died shortly after.An investigation into narcotics activity in the City of Jamestown resulted in the arrest of the Buffalo man for drug possession. Narcotics investigators from the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office and narcotics detectives from the Jamestown Police Department executed a search warrant on Thursday at 312 E 6th St. on Thursday. Located inside the residence at the time of the search was 32-year-old Laquil Hilson. As a result of the search, investigators seized 31.4 grams of methamphetamine, 23.4 grams of crack cocaine, 11.9 grams of fentanyl.A mother and her child died in an ATV rollover accident in Wellsville on Thursday.Around 2:30 p.m investigation determined that Ashley Robichaud, 38, of Wellsville was driving a 2003 Polaris Trail Boss four-wheeler in a pasture with her two children, a six-year-old and a three-year-old. When the four-wheeler was at the pasture’s lowest point of elevation, it overturned, pinning Robichaud and her six-year-old underneath. They were pronounced dead at the scene.Buffalo police are investigating a single-car crash that occurred at the foot of Route 33 and Oak Street early Thursday morning. Police said the driver of a Chevrolet Equinox lost control, rolled over, and struck a tree. There were two adults and four children in the vehicle at the time of the crash. The two adults were transported to ECMC and the four children were transported to Golisano Children's Hospital of Buffalo. Two of the children remain in serious condition in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

In Wellsville, Ashley Robichaud, 38, of Wellsville was driving a 2003 Polaris Trail Boss four-wheeler in a pasture with her two children, a six-year-old and a three-year-old. The ATV overturned, pinning Robichaud and her six-year-old underneath. They were pronounced dead at the scene.Residents in the City of Niagara Falls who had items damaged by last weekend’s rainstorm will have a chance to get them removed this weekend. The city says Casella Waste Systems will conduct a special pickup on Saturday, August 8 for storm-damaged items.
