Erie County is the first county in New York State to have a law against private businesses collecting, storing and selling biometrics. County Executive Mark Poloncarz signed the Biometric Transparency and Privacy Act into law Tuesday afternoon.The City of Buffalo is warning drivers of lane changes on Niagara St during a road work project happening this week. The city says Niagara Street will be paved between Porter Ave and Hampshire St. The project begins Wednesday and continues through Friday, May 29.A body that was found in Chautauqua Lake Saturday has been confirmed to be a man who was reported missing in March. A total of 42 restaurants will be participating, with 13 taking part in the festival for the first time.
